Career leadership coaching is NOT for everyone. Like if…
You’re looking for someone to tell you what exactly to do with your career.
I don’t tell my clients what to do; instead, I’ll be guiding you through an intentional process to help you uncover those answers on your own. Why? You are the expert in your life, and I believe intuitively you know what’s best; I’m the expert in the coaching process. I will help you explore what you want for your career based on what matters most to you and how you can go after your vision. I will help you pinpoint the stress points getting in your way. And I will teach you tools designed to help you reduce your stress and shift your energy for increased productivity, motivation, and follow-through. * Where appropriate, I may share feedback, insights, and new possibilities, while reminding you that you are always at choice.
You are looking to substitute coaching for mental health services.
I am not a licensed mental health service provider. I am a certified professional coach with a background in career development and law. What’s the difference? Traditional psychotherapy is a healing modality, addressing clinical mental health conditions to help you get by in life by exploring why you are the way you are. Coaching, on the other hand, is an empowerment modality, helping you move from “just getting by” to thriving by exploring who you are today, who you want to be in the future, and how to get you there. We’ll focus on your strengths and career possibilities, strategize how to achieve your goals, then motivate you to ensure follow-through. I do not treat clinical mental health conditions, focus much on the past, or purport to heal my clients. Instead, we are shifting your energy level to increase productivity, optimism, and creativity. *That being said, coaching and therapy can work nicely in conjunction with one another; many of my clients also work with a therapist.
